TELL THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS:

Loudoun’s Low Taxes
Were Built on Certainty

The Board of Supervisors has a responsibility to honor its word and keep taxes low for Loudoun County residents. If the County breaks its word on even one project, including data centers it has already legally approved and allowed to be built, we risk all financial stability as a County.

Take Action NOW to stop our County from making a huge mistake.

Why Loudoun County Should Keep Its Word

THIS WAS A DONE DEAL

  • The Board of Supervisors is considering tearing up 17 deals with data center companies that they approved in 2025. These projects will provide hundreds of millions of dollars to keep our taxes low. Betraying this principle means the County could lose Fortune 500 companies, future hospitals, and even job-creating manufacturer projects. Nobody wants to work in a community that rewrites the rules.

THE BOARD ALREADY KNOWS THE RISKS

  • Chair Phyllis Randall said if Loudoun County is taken to court over this breach of trust and loses, taxpayers will become industry subsidizers – paying tens of millions of legal fees and penalties which our County has never done before.

HOMEOWNERS ARE ALREADY PROTECTED

  • These 17 projects were allowed to move forward 18 months ago because they followed the rules. Tearing up the agreements on projects by companies who follow the rules only hurts taxpayers and makes Loudoun County a laughing stock.

THE FINANCIAL STAKES ARE HIGH

  • Data Centers produce nearly 40 percent of all General Fund revenue and almost half of all property tax collections, according to the County. That is why Loudoun’s real property tax rate has fallen from $1.145 per $100 in 2016 to $0.805 today.
